Bliley, Nicholas Martin, 69, of Midlothian, died at home Sept. 29, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph W. Bliley, Jr. and Catherine O. Bliley, and his brother, Joseph W. Bliley, III. He is survived by his wife, Patricia S. Bliley of Midlothian; his son, Christopher P. Bliley and his wife Allison of Arlington; his granddaughters, Peyton E. and Courtney S. Bliley of Arlington; his sisters, Catherine B. Wright and her husband Bruce of Powhatan, Margaret B. Wilkins and her husband Bob of Midlothian, the Rev. Cecilia B. Duke and her husband David of Lilburn, GA; his brothers, Daniel J. Bliley and his wife Frances of Smithfield, NC and Norbert M. Bliley and his wife Kathryn of Glen Allen; his sister-in-law, Mary T. Bliley of Midlothian; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy N. Saunders of Midlothian. Nick was a graduate of Benedictine High School, the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, and attended St. Bernard's College in Cullman, AL. He was a past member of St. Mary's Social and Beneficial Union and the Midlothian Jaycees. Nick was an active member of the Bon Air Rotary Club and a member of the Troop Committee of Troop 400, Boy Scouts of America. He was the Vice President of Holy Cross Cemetery and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Nick loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was the CEO of his family business, Bliley Funeral Homes, where he was employed for 48 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Friday at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr., Richmond, Va. 23235. Interment will follow at Maury Cemetery at 12 noon. A reception will be announced following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Benedictine College Preparatory, 12829 River Road, Richmond, VA 23238, St. Gertrude High School, 3215 Stuart Ave., Richmond, VA 23221, or St. Christopher's School, 711 St. Christopher's Rd., Richmond, VA 23226.
